About Bipolarisms
When I was first diagnosed, I turned to the internet to learn everything I could about what I was going through. I typed in so many questions. How does depression present in young women? What does mania feel like? Will psychosis prevent me from achieving my academic goals? I looked for articles, videos, and research papers, but mostly what I was hoping to find were stories. I wanted first hand accounts of what people were experiencing and how their mental illnesses affect their everyday lives. I wanted to find people like me – not just people hoping to survive their illness but people planning to thrive despite it.
Bipolarisms is a resource for people who want to feel less alone. Here you can read all about my own personal experiences with mood fluctuation, psychosis, anxiety, and more. Learn about what my life is like as a student, partner, daughter, and general member of society.
